Context and the Idea: The Why & What of UnDecide
| The world is going through tremendous conflicts we urgently need many more young leaders for social renewal. Instead, we find that young people are excluded from decision-making and denied agency in our patriarchal and hierarchical culture. Their confusion and uncertainty in this scenario take a heavy toll on their well-being and 1 out of 5 are suffering from mental health issues. In our collective experience, We know that in empowering spaces, young people can find agency very quickly and collaborate on social action projects to be the change they want to see. | Therefore, the idea of UnDecide came to be. Undecide is a societal platform aimed at building agency and capacities of young people for taking better decisions, thereby taking leadership of self and society. The platform allows young people with everyday confusion to think and unpack it. It also creates an opportunity to discuss it with like and unlike-minded individuals who offer empathy, unique perspectives, and innovative solutions. A young person is then enabled to reflect on their confusion from a newer perspective and guided towards making better choices. |

About the Pilot: The success of UnDecide
We ran a pilot journey of UnDecide in 2022. Here are some important details about the pilot. The experiment was a successful one based on the experience of the UnDeciders, Accompaniers and the team. This has inspired us to imagine and plan for UnDecide to grow bigger and bigger.
