Divya Gupta
Ms. Divya Gupta is a seasoned humanitarian professional with a notable track record of managing 10 emergency operations since 2004. From the Assam Flood and Tsunami to the Gujarat Flood, Kashmir Earthquake, and Nepal Earthquake, she has consistently played a pivotal role in orchestrating immediate relief efforts, facilitating transition responses, and spearheading long-term rehabilitation initiatives. Her expertise lies in Water, Sanitation, Environment Sanitation, and Hygiene Promotion, and she has held significant roles with esteemed organizations.
In her previous tenure, Ms. Gupta led national-level emergency coordination efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and various other crises. She provided crucial support to state Inter-Agency Groups and other networks, ensuring efficient and effective responses to emergent challenges. Additionally, she co-founded the Climate Action Resource Network – Asia Pacific (CARN-AP) and the WICCI Gujarat CSR Council, highlighting her dedication to addressing pressing social and environmental issues.
Ms. Gupta's contributions have garnered recognition through numerous awards, including the 9th Udgam Women Achievers of Gujarat Award 2018 in the Social Worker category. Moreover, she possesses a passion for capacity building and advocacy, having trained over 12,000 individuals, ranging from local communities to government personnel, outreach workers, and NGO staff.
In her current role, Ms. Gupta is entrusted with managing capacity-building and advocacy portfolios at SEEDS, a renowned organization committed to resilience building. Additionally, she oversees localization efforts, ensuring that responses are tailored to the unique needs of affected communities. Through her work, Ms. Gupta remains dedicated to driving positive change and building a more resilient and equitable society.
