About Us: 

Jan Sahas is a national grassroots organization committed for the protection and promotion of the socio-economic rights and development of socially excluded communities, especially women. For more than 20 years, Jan Sahas has been working towards comprehensive community empowerment and scaling community centric models. The vision of Jan Sahas is to ensure dignity and equality for all individuals. Currently, the organization is working intensively in 62 districts of 9 states of India; Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Jharkhand and Delhi NCR with the team of 900+ professional and field staff.

For the last 15 years, Jan Sahas has been working intensively with migrant communities to ensure their social protection and safe migration. The Jan Sahas model ensures reduction in prevalence of forced labour conditions by ensuring prevention (awareness raising with the communities and ensuring social security schemes), response (technology based tracking of migrant workers and immediate case based assistance), rehabilitation (connecting to welfare measures) and system reform (working with government departments and private bodies for large scale reforms
