Vipul Mudgal is a distinguished figure in the realms of activism, journalism, and academia. As the Director and Chief Executive of Common Cause, renowned for its impactful interventions, he spearheads initiatives aimed at promoting social justice and advancing democratic values. Additionally, he serves as the head of Inclusive Media for Change, a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of India's marginalised communities through information dissemination and advocacy.

With a doctorate in media studies from Leicester University, UK, and a Nehru Fellow, Vipul brings a wealth of academic expertise to his multifaceted roles. His illustrious career includes stints as the Resident Editor of Hindustan Times in Jaipur and Lucknow, South Asia Editor of Asia Times in Bangkok, and a journalist with the BBC in London and Delhi. Furthermore, he has played a pivotal role in shaping public discourse as a visiting Senior Fellow and founder-director of the Publics and Policies Programme at the CSDS.
