Lalitha Iyer

About Me: 

Lalitha Iyer boasts a rich and varied career spanning over four decades, with expertise in commercial banking, organisational planning, leadership development, and executive training. After serving as an officer in SBI for over two decades, she transitioned to the education sector, where she led Vidyaranya, a progressive school in Hyderabad, for three years. Following this, Lalitha worked as a consultant at Thinksoft Consultants in Hyderabad before relocating to Bangalore in 2009 to pursue independent consulting.

As an independent consultant, Lalitha focuses on institutional change facilitation in the social sector, collaborating with international and national institutions, NGOs, government systems, and the corporate sector. She currently heads Plustrust, an organisation dedicated to promoting women's entrepreneurship in rural India. Lalitha is also a co-editor and contributor for the recently published book "T-Group Facilitation: Theory and Practice of Applied Behavioral Science" (Routledge 2022) and has authored several other books and papers on topics ranging from business strategy to development sector case studies.

Lalitha holds a Ph.D. in Economics and an M.Sc. in Statistics. She is a professional member of ISABS, an accredited EMP practitioner from Eckerd College Florida, and a feminist mentor. Her academic qualifications and professional affiliations underscore her commitment to driving positive social change and empowering marginalised communities, particularly women entrepreneurs in rural India.
