The Commutiny Learning and Leadership Journeys (LLJ) is a yearlong programme for Young Change Leaders from across India; the Programme offers support for a Journey of intensive personal learning and reflection, combined with an opportunity to lead an independent social change experiment.

Emerging from our strong conviction that young people have a vision, passion and commitment to lead Social change, the Learning and Leadership Journeys Programme is a platform for offering young change-leaders with opportunities for deeper and real engagements with self and society towards exploring their relationships with the context they desire to change. The Programme tries support participants ( we call them Commutineers) to define/deepen their core values, gain self awareness, sharpen their change ideas, integrate win-win solutions into their approaches, establish clear goals for taking their idea forward and implement their change ideas, while learning valuable lessons from the process itself.

The programme also seeks to facilitate a platform of young change-leaders, promote cross-learning and exchanges, build cross-sectoral knowledge and skills among youth, and create a strong and supportive space for youth participation.

Through Commutineer social change initiatives, the programme supports youth led intervention on diverse issues across sectors, impacting lives of individuals and communities, especially of young people across the country, alongside visibilizing the potential of youth active citizenship.

The LLJ programme is executed in two phases:

LLJ Phase I focuses on strengthening self awareness and carrying out a social change experiment.
LLJ Phase II is a process open to commutineers graduating from phase 1 and supports the them in the process of establishing their social change experiments into sustainable social change initiatives alongside building deeper self awareness.
